Advanced Appliance and Air is a great local family owned business run with traditional good business values. I've called on them on a couple of occasions to help deal with my Kenmore Elite refrigerator and they have always been great. Their staff is VERY professional and friendly. They are my first call if I run into any appliance problems. Being an engineer myself I am VERY picky about technical services. Highly recommended.

I'm all about supporting local businesses, but it is sometimes hard finding people that won't screw you over. So, when my washer started acting funny I called Advanced Appliance. It's family owned. After I called them they came out the very next day and stayed until they knew what was wrong. They are very friendly and are very knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for better service!

When I called, my first question was whether they offer a window of time, or if they had specific appointment times. They said they offered actual appointment times. Yay! My appointment was at 9am. They were here by 9:05am. A man and a woman came together. They both walked into the kitchen, leaned in closer to the refrigerator and both said, "The fan's dead." They opened up the freezer and saw that their hunch was right. Since they had asked for the model number on the phone, they had all the parts they'd need. They fixed the refrigerator very quickly. I enjoyed chatting with them. They were out by 9:40am. Fair price. Had the part. On time. Nice people. VERY pleased. I'll definitely call again if I have another problem with a major appliance.

The address listed here on Yelp is in Youngsville. I see their address as being on Spring Forest Road in Raleigh. I live in downtown Raleigh. I guess it doesn't matter if they are coming out to the customer, but I'll double check and make sure the Yelp address is correct.

Advanced Appliance & Air saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. I was told by a national competitor that our HVAC system would need a $2,000 fix/maintenance. I had Shaun from Advanced Appliance & Air come out and he was able to diagnose and correct a problem for less then $200. If you are looking for highly skilled and HONEST repair technicians - HIRE ADVANCED APPLIANCE & AIR. Joe, Donna & Shaun are wonderful hard working individuals that run their business with wonderful values. I highly recommend them.

This is an awesome company!!! To begin with, a “live” person answered my phone call. They were able to squeeze me in the next morning. This husband and wife team were SO pleasant and efficient diagnosing and repairing my appliance. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. -Angie’s List member December 2014

Joe and Donna responded to my call within the hour. They were close to my home and came right over, They narrowed down what was the problem(in my packed freezer) unloaded it and repaired the problem. We have used them before and did not know they were on Angie’s list until this morning. I highly recommend this company and we will use again. Thanks Joe and Donna for doing such great work, and coming so promptly. -Angie’s List member October 2014

I have needed help on two different issues since getting my house. They were very helpful both times. The air conditioning unit they put in has worked well for nearly 7 years (7 years in June) and the thermostat installed has been great. -Angie’s List member May, 2014

Our 25 year-old Sub-Zero welcomed us home from a trip with a barely cool, not cold, refrigerator side. I found Advanced online as a factory certified repair shop and called for an appointment just a couple of days away. Their quoted rates seemed very fair ($65 for a service call, $40 to install any parts required, parts as quoted.) and the fact that they were a family company appealed to us. The founder and his wife, Joe and Donna White, showed up on time, he took the appliance apart enough to confirm their diagnosis (a fan motor and blade), called for a price quote for the parts ($147) and set a return date on the parts delivery date. Again, they were right on time, he quickly installed the new parts and demonstrated that it fixed the problem. Joe and I are both engineering graduates and got along just great! So, for a grand total of $252 (no trip charge for parts installation, just the quoted $40!) our refrigerator-freezer is humming along perfectly and we are delighted not to be facing replacement–the current model is about $10,000. Joe was not fazed in the slightest by this old, not-that-common model and he clearly knows his stuff. We would not hesitate to call Advanced for any future appliance or HVAC problem and we happily recommend them to you. -Angie’s List member May, 2014
